Nintendo Direct Coming On November 5 Focused On Wii U, 3DS Titles
Nintendo has announced another Direct presentation that will happen tomorrow, November 5. While no specific games are mentioned, the video will cover titles for both Wii U and 3DS.
Nintendo recently released its financial data for the second quarter of its current fiscal year. Numbers are up year-over-year, despite aggregated half-year losses.
The company still has one major release left for the holiday, Super Smash Bros. on Wii U, before turning toward the catalog to drive console sales. Mario Kart 8 is in the hands of nearly half of Wii U owners, and it’s likely Nintendo will lean on it for the holidays.
The Nintendo Direct begins at 2 p.m. Pacific / 5 p.m. Eastern. You can watch it on Nintendo's website.
Our Take
Nintendo needs to keep its development pipeline flowing since it is almost single-handedly propping up the Wii U. I expect we’ll hear about a Nintendo holiday bundle tomorrow, which will likely keep the price the same but include pack-ins to incentivize purchase.
