Kirby Tribute Album Nails The Feeling Of Classic 16-Bit Tunes

by Sam Stewart on Oct 22, 2014 at 01:55 PM

There are hundreds of remixes of classic gaming tunes out there, but it is very rare to see an artist make all new music based off a well known series' musical style. Its a risky venture to make new music based on a beloved franchise, but musician Karl Brueggemann's new album, Another Day In Dream Land, shows us it can also have great rewards.

This new-15 track album contains a variety of Kirby inspired tracks, from the fast and poppy "Prairie Land 1" to the slow and dreamy "Cloudy Heights". Each tune recalls a level from a classic Kirby title, a surefire sign of a great tribute album. You can give the album a listen here, and buy it for only $3.99.

Karl Brueggemann composes music and podcasts about game music with his brother Will under the Super Marcato Brothers name. Will recently released a tribute album of his own titled Child of Chozo
