PSA: Rockstar Warns Against GTA V PC, PlayStation 4, And Xbox One Beta Phishing Schemes
Grand Theft Auto V will not have a beta prior to its release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, or PC, and Rockstar wants to make sure its fans are aware.
On rockstargames.com/nobeta you will find a very clear, very direct message that reads, "Please note: There is no pre-release 'beta' test for Grand Theft Auto V. If you see ads or solicitations to join a beta program, beware as this is likely some type of online phishing scam."
So, if you see some kind of invite to join in Grand Theft Auto V's new-gen beta program and think it's too good to be true, then you're right.
Grand Theft Auto V is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 18, 2014 and PC on January 27, 2015.
Update: Rockstar reached out to let us know that while it is accurate that Grand Theft Auto V will not have a beta for its Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC releases, this website was technically put in place for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 releases of the game. The PSA still stands – don't accept invitations from anyone offering you beta entry to Grand Theft Auto V on any platform!

Our Take
It's always nice to get your hands on a game a little early, so in that regard it's disappointing new-gen GTA V won't be receiving a beta, but on the other hand, it's nice that Rockstar is being straightforward about the lack of a beta. Also, we pretty much know what to expect from the game, and I'm sure Rockstar does, too, at this point.
