Far Cry is taking a bigger step toward the realm of the fantastical in the just-announced season pass. In addition to a number of more mundane story and PvP missions, Ubisoft is introducing Yetis to the dangerous wildlife.

In The Valley of the Yetis, Ajay has crashed in icy terrain. Players will have to scavenge for supplies to reinforce a base camp, because a cult and the Yetis (mostly) come at night (mostly). You’ll be able to fend off the beasts in single-player and co-op.

The bundle, which will retail for $29.99 (a 20 percent discount), will also include:

  • The Syringe - A single-player and cooperative mission, available on launch day.
  • Escape from Durgesh Prison - A single-player and cooperative mission.
  • Hurk Deluxe Pack - Five missions and new weapons including the Impaler harpoon gun
  • Overrun - PvP capture point mode

Far Cry 4 is out for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC on November 18. For more, check out our most recent preview.

Our Take
Without knowing how substantial these add-ons are, it’s very hard to judge the value of this season pass. The Valley of the Yetis sounds interesting, but I’d like to see it in action and know how deep the survival experience is.
