While The Last Guardian is still missing in action, some ex-Team Ico members are readying a bewitching new game titled Vane.
Friend & Foe Games is made up of five former employees of Team Ico, and the aesthetic of games like Ico and Shadow of the Colossus is evident in this teaser trailer Vane. While the shots of what looks to be a child exploring strange environments is very reminiscent of Ico, at the end of the trailer we see that the child can also transform into a hawk or some other bird of prey.
The game is slated to appear on PC, and possibly new-gen consoles.
Our Take:
This is one of the most intriguing trailers I've seen for a long time. Such a great art style and atmosphere. I couldn't be more excited for Vane.
