Weekend Warrior 09/05/2014

This weekend the Game Informer staff has delusional aspirations to play lots of different things, from Rogue Legacy to The Walking Dead season two. However, the tempting call of the Angel of Death beckons, and most of us are likely going to end up playing a bunch of Diablo III. Those paragon levels aren't going to earn themselves.

I have been meaning to devote some time to The Sims 4, but if I'm being honest with myself, I'll probably just spend yet another weekend playing Diablo III on PS4.  Though I don't feel the same draw to grind for gear as I did when the game first came out, I can't resist hopping into a group if my friends are playing.

I'm hoping to play through the last chapter of The Walking Dead: Season Two, but that'll probably get sidelined by Diablo III, Diablo III, and more Diablo III. I'm eager to see what happens to Clementine, but I'm not going to lie – watching my Witch Doctor roll through a few thousand monsters sounds like a lot more fun.

I’ll be diving into Hearthstone Season 6 as well as dipping into the MOBAsphere for some League of Legends, Dota 2, Smite, and Tome.

This weekend, after that paragon of a man Ben Reeves gets married, I’m hoping to dig into Diablo III: Reaper of Souls. I want to get an extra PS4 controller so that my girlfriend can try it out. She seems pretty interested in it. I also need to finish up Rogue Legacy. That final boss is trouncing me repeatedly. I want to get some good time in on these games before Destiny drops next week, because I’m positive my time will be shifting over to that immediately upon release.

I'm going to play a game called Diablo III. I think so other people may as well. But I've got a pretty busy weekend and probably won't be playing many games.

I've decided to go back to Resident Evil: Revelations. Capcom confirming Revelations 2 just sparked me to play through it again. I just love how tense I feel all the time and the sound effects add so much to the experience. I'm hoping I can finish it up this weekend.

This weekend I'm hoping to continue playing The Walking Dead season 2, I'm having a tough time getting myself in the perfect mood to be bummed out. Outside of that, I'm hoping to check out Velocity 2X on PS4. It's a free PS Plus game and I've heard great things about it. Then there's always some crappy iPad game to fill in the cracks. Have a good weekend!

With a bunch of weddings, trips, and house projects going on lately, I hadn't been able to do as deep a dive on Diablo as I wanted. This week I squeezed in some good sessions and am totally hooked. I'm researching builds and legendary sets, getting close to level 70, and thoroughly questioning all the experts in the office. The nice thing is that lots of people in the office are online so you pretty much always have someone to team up with.

After Ben Reeves’ wedding shenanigans are over, I hope to get in some time this weekend playing more Diablo III and Hearthstone. I’ve only completed two wings of Naxxramas and would like to continue honing my decks (which I seem to spend more time doing than actually playing the game, but whatever), and there’s always a limitless supply of loot to acquire in Diablo. Come to think of it, neither game really has an ending. That’s probably not good…
