Over 20 Million Copies Of Diablo III Sold Since Release

Acitivision has announced that Diablo III continues to perform well. 20 million copies have been sold since the title’s release in 2012, including the Reaper of Souls expansion.

This includes all copies sold on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. The number is likely to rise significantly on August 19 and beyond as an updated version, the Ultimate Evil Edition, arrives for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3.

Our Take
Given its rough start, Diablo III has performed admirably. The latest changes along with a substantial expansion have brought fans back into the fold. I expect that the Ultimate Evil Edition will perform well and earn a number of double-dip purchases.
