Get The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection For Free

by Mike Futter on Jul 23, 2014 at 11:45 AM

EA recently announced it is ending support for The Sims 2, meaning there will no further patches or updates. As a token of good will, the publisher is upgrading all owners to the Ultimate Collection of the game. For a limited time, anyone can get the game for free.

In order to get your copy of The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection, which comes with every expansion and “stuff pack” for the title, you’ll need an Origin account. Once logged in, you’ll need to redeem the code “I-Love-The-Sims.” You do not need the quotes or the hyphens, but you do need to move on this offer. It's only valid until July 31.

Once complete, you’ll be the proud owner of The Sims, including all the swimming pools, toasters, and other hazards you could hope for. If you’re looking for a more recent experience, The Sims 3 is available now with a huge amount of add-on content.

The Sims 4 will be out this fall. You can read our preview of that title from E3

Thanks to reader Ace for the tip.
