Frozen Endzone Gets A New Name In Time For Update

by Jeff Cork on Jul 22, 2014 at 05:10 AM

Mode 7 games is releasing a big update for its futuristic sports game, which includes one of the biggest tweaks a game can undergo: It's got a new name. Say goodbye to Frozen Endzone, and say hello to Frozen Cortex.

The update includes OSX and Linux versions, new A.I. and animations, five new stadiums, and performance and UI optimizations.

Why the name change? Mode 7 names three reasons:

1.) The original name was a bit rubbish and we got bored of it

2.) We think the game looks better like this

3.) Some people thought we were making a Madden game with robots: that is not what we’re doing

What are they doing? Take a look at the video below, which not only features the new name and logo, but also provides a guided gameplay walkthrough.
