EA Announced Battlefield Hardline San Diego Comic-Con Panel

by Ben Reeves on Jul 11, 2014 at 02:38 PM

Visceral Games will be traveling down to San Diego for the yearly Comic-Con International convention. During the event, the studio will show off the single player for this year’s version of Battlefield – the new cops and robbers themed Hardline.

During a Comic Con panel called “Battlefield Hardline: A Visceral World of Crime and Revenge,” Visceral GM and Hardline Executive Producer Steve Papoutsis will be joined by a few other members of the development team as well as the game's cast as they talk about their TV crime drama inspirations for Hardline. For more information about Hardline, check out Papoutsis' Q&A dialogue on the Battlefield Blog or our impression from this year's E3.

Our Take
I'm not a huge Battlefield fan, but this kind of marketing makes sense. Comic Con has become a big show for all kinds of media over the last decade, so I understand why studios like Visceral would want to push their games to the masses that show up in San Diego for one of the biggest comic shows in the world. San Diego Comic Con starts in two weeks; stay tuned for more information about this year's exciting releases as we draw closer.
