Alien: Isolation Pre-Order Bonus Features Sigourney Weaver & Movie Cast [Trailer Added]

by Matthew Kato on Jul 10, 2014 at 10:15 AM

Creative Assembly's Alien: Isolation recreates the terror and tenor of Ridley Scott's Alien film from 1979. If you pre-order the game you can step inside the movie itself thanks to the work of some of the members of the film's cast.

Sigourney Weaver (Ripley), Tom Skerritt (Dallas), Veronica Cartwright (Lambert), Harry Dean Stanton (Brett), Yaphet Kotto (Parker), and Ian Holm (Ash – likeness only) are featured in Alien: Isolation's pre-order bonus mission entitled Crew Expendable. The mission takes place after Brett is killed, and players take the role of Ripley, Dallas, or Parker to explore the cavernous Nostromo (gulp!) and try and lure the creature into the airlock.

If you pre-order Alien: Isolation at GameStop [full disclosure – Game Informer is owned by GameStop] you'll also receive the Last Survivor mission, joining Ripley as she tries to escape the Nostromo on the Narcissus shuttle.

Alien: Isolation comes out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 on October 7. For more on the game, take a look at our coverage from E3.

Update: Now get a look at Ripley and company in the official pre-order trailer

Our Take
I'm sure some will question why the cast wasn't used for the whole game, but I like that the full title goes in its own direction. This is the best of both worlds, and I couldn't be more excited for this game.
