Battlefield 4 Dragon's Teeth Expansion Blasts Onto Scene, Comes Early For Premium Members

by Harry Mackin on Jul 08, 2014 at 09:00 AM

Battlefield 4 Dragon’s Teeth, the fourth expansion pack to EA’s shooter, will be made available on July 15 for no additional charge to all Battlefield 4 Premium members. The expansion introduces a large amount of new content to Battlefield, including new multiplayer maps, weapons, unlockable gadgets, a game mode, assignments, and a vehicle.

The four new maps coming out with Dragon’s Teeth are: Lumphini Garden, a park area with canals, Pearl Market, a marketplace with crowded alleyways and rooftop access, Propaganda, featuring monuments and an industrial battleground, and Sunken Dragon, which has high rises, a floating restaurant, and a lake that can be drained.

In addition to the new maps, Dragon’s Teeth will include five new weapons, as well as the Ballistic Shield, a new unlockable gadget. The new game mode is a twist on the classic Conquest mode called Chain Link, in which players will fight to link up capture points. Ten new assignments will also be added with unique unlockables associated with them, as well at the R.A.W.R, a remote controlled battle pickup ground vehicle.

Battlefield 4 Dragon’s Teeth will be available to all non-Premium players starting on July 29 and will cost $15, as with all previous expansions. Battlefield’s previous expansion, Naval Strike, also came early to premium members and was made available to non-premium members on April 15. You can read our hands-on impressions of that release here.

Battlefield 4 originally released on October 29, 2013. It is available now for Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, and PC. If you think you might want to look into the first-person shooter, check out our review to see if the game is for you.
