Cliff Bleszinski Returns With Boss Key Productions

by Matthew Kato on Jul 04, 2014 at 09:48 AM

Former Epic Games designer Cliff Bleszinski is returning to games with what appears to be his new studio Boss Key Productions and a game currently labeled Project Bluestreak.

Boss Key Productions is incorporated to Bleszinski, and he has acknowledged the company and project by linking (tweet below) to Boss Key's twitter account, which mentions Project Bluestreak. Bleszinski has since initiated a countdown that expires on Tuesday, July 8. There is also a Boss Key website which earlier featured Bleszinski's twitter account, but currently only has the logo above.

Boss Key's incorporation documents list Bleszinski as the CEO and former Guerilla Games co-founder Arjan Brussee as the COO. Brussee worked with Bleszinski on the later's Jazz Jackrabbit series.

Our Take
Bleszinski has been waiting in the industry wings, and has previously mentioned how he wanted to wait for the right time to return. It will be interesting to hear what about the current gaming landscape makes it ripe for his return and the game he's working on.
