CD Projekt Acknowledges Authenticity Of The Witcher 3 Leak

by Mike Futter on Jun 23, 2014 at 06:27 AM

CD Projekt has experienced a security breach that has allowed extensive details about The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to appear online. The contents include information about the story, quests, and even the game’s ending.

The files were posted to 4chan and Reddit, showcasing concept art, a breakdown of the E3 2014 trailer, and more. The leak reportedly stems from a breach of a developer’s Google Drive, as reported by PS4 Daily.

“It has come to our attention that, because of a breach of our security systems, some of the production files for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt have emerged on the Internet,” a CD Projekt representative told us via email. “A portion of the files contains information about the story of the game so we strongly advise against accessing them, as this may heavily impact and spoil your future gaming experience. We'd also like to reassure everyone that the disclosure of said documents does not affect the development cycle in any way.”
