Several Characters From LittleBigPlanet 3's Cast Were Cut Early On
During E3, Sackboy made a return in Sony's debut of LittleBigPlanet 3. But this time around he was joined by some friends: Oddsock, Toggle, and Swoop. A character named Sackworm almost made that list.
All of LittleBigPlanet 3's new characters began as silhouette images. The goal was to create a series of new characters who would be instantly recognizable and add something new to the gameplay.
“We’ve spent a long time working on the characters,” XDev’s Pete Smith told PlayStation Blog.eu. “Not just making sure that they look distinctive but also that they each offer unique gameplay. That, for me, is the big thing. We want people to go ‘Wow, they really change up the game, and I can create totally new experiences with them.'"
According to Smith, a character named Sackworm didn't last long before getting cut from the game, but he's not the only one. We wonder what other characters might be in the game in some alternate reality.
