Hipsters Invade Los Santos In New Grand Theft Auto Online Update

by Jeff Cork on Jun 17, 2014 at 04:31 AM

Rockstar has announced that the latest Grand Theft Auto Online update is now available for download. The ironically titled "I'm Not a Hipster" update adds new character options, jobs, and features. You might want to get it while it's still cool.

The update includes a slew of new character-customization options, including a dozen new beard styles, skinny jeans, and retro-style clothing. There are also a number of previously existing but not-for-sale cars available for purchase, like Franklin's Bravado Buffalo S and Michael's Obey Tailgater. Players who've reached rank 100 can let the world know by painting their cars gold, or by purchasing the all-new, six-wheeled Dubsta.

Check out the update 1.14 notes here for a list of complete details, including some of the under-the-hood changes. One notable fix is that players will no longer be able to take advantage of a gate glitch to make their cars rocket into the sky. Oh well.

Our Take
As someone who spent way too much time customizing my character in GTA Online, I love having more options. One thing the update doesn't add, however, are co-op heists. That means either Rockstar is going to surprise us all with another update in the remaining days of spring, or that content is getting pushed back. All the ironic tees in the world can't help that sting.
