Sniper Elite V2 Is Free On Steam Today
Rebellion is getting ready to release the third title in the Sniper Elite series in just a month. But perhaps you missed the last installment, which features an X-ray camera evidencing the destruction caused by your bullets on Nazi bodies. Well, friend, you are in luck.
For the next 24 hours, Sniper Elite V2 is absolutely free on Steam. All you need to do is log into your account and claim your copy. If you’re interested in what you see, you can pre-purchase Sniper Elite 3 for 20 percent off the full price ($39.99 versus $49.99).
We had a chance to play Sniper Elite 3 at PAX East. The new, more open levels were a great change of pace and the refinements to the AI offer better opportunities to keep the AI guessing.

Our Take
Sniper Elite V2 has a lot of great ideas, and the sniping elements are great fun. I wasn’t as fond of the stealth moments in between the long-range gunplay, but that’s neither here nor there. This game is free and there is no reason not to claim your copy.
