Awesomenauts Assemble Comes To Xbox One

by Mike Futter on Jun 02, 2014 at 07:47 AM

After expanding on PC and releasing on PlayStation 4, Ronimo Games is bringing its three-vs-three, side-scrolling MOBA to Xbox One. The title was originally released on Xbox 360 and then on PlayStation 3.

According to Ronimo, the last-gen versions won’t receive a patch to bring them current with the other platforms. The publisher of those versions, DTP Entertainment ran into financial trouble immediately prior to the release of the game on Xbox 360.

Assemble includes the original eight characters, plus seven more. The company also Kickstarted an expansion called Starstorm on PC. The characters from that version are not included in the PS4 edition yet, but the first two (Ted McPain and Penny Fox should be along in the coming weeks). There are no other details about release timing yet.

Our Take
Awesomenauts was my first introduction to MOBA concepts, and I still return to the title every once in a while. I’m glad it’s making the jump to Xbox One, as it is deserving of some more attention.
