IO Interactive Pulls Trigger On New Hitman Art, Sneaks Past E3

IO Interactive has posted an update on the next console Hitman title. The good news is that there is some new art. The bad news is that we won’t be seeing the title at E3 in a couple of weeks.

The latest image (above, click to enlarge) is a city in Central Europe. “We’re making great progress with building exotic and expansive locations for the new game,” the developer says on its blog.

IO promises more details later in the year, but assures that it won’t fully unveil the game until it’s ready. The most recent Hitman title, Hitman GO on mobile devices, is headed for new updates. 

There is also another mobile Hitman title in the works. That game, like GO, is under development at Square Enix Montréal.

Our Take
With this news, you can pretty much count on the next Hitman console title coming at some point in 2015. There is no chance it will be announced, promoted, and released in 2014 without an E3 presence.
