Online Co-Op Heading To Killzone: Shadow Fall Next Month

by Kyle Hilliard on May 16, 2014 at 04:04 AM

Intercept, an upcoming expansion for the Killzone: Shadow Fall, will add on online co-op mode to the game.

The mode allows up to four players to take on class roles in the Intelligence Squad Alpha to intercept and relay Helghast military transmissions. Players choose between the close range Assault role, the mid-to-long range Marksman role, the Medic role, or the Tactician role to hold areas against Helghast invaders in order to hack data from certain locations. Player scores and hacking speed are dictated by how well the team works together.

The Intercept expansion launches in June with four maps and is included in the Killzone: Shadow Fall season pass. The price for non-season pass holders is unclear at the moment. Sony and Guerrilla Games are also promising a standalone version of the co-op mode later this year, which means you will have the option to buy and play the mode without the need to own a copy of Killzone: Shadow Fall.
