New Adventure Time Game Coming To Consoles, 3DS, And Steam

by Kimberley Wallace on May 08, 2014 at 10:00 AM

A new Adventure Time game was announced today entitled Adventure Time: The Secret of The Nameless King.

Wayforward, who worked on the past two Adventure Time games, will once again be working on the game based on the Cartoon Network show. According to the latest press release, The Secret of The Nameless King is in the vein of "early high fantasy console games."

You'll play through the adventure from a top-down perspective and engage in some puzzle-solving along the way. Players will play as both Finn and Jake as they explore a mysterious kingdom in a region in the Land of Ooo. For the game, a brand new kingdom, characters, and creatures are being crafted.

The game is coming this November and will be able on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, 3DS, and PC on Steam.

Our Take
Adventure Time has captivated a wide audience, so it makes sense to bank off the series' popularity with more games. The early details make it seem like Wayforward is looking to Zelda for inspiration, so it'll be interesting to see how it all pans out.
