Atlus Teasing Shin Megami Tensei Release On PlayStation Network Tomorrow
Atlus has posted an update on on the Shin Megami Tensei subreddit alerting fans to keep an eye on the PlayStation 3's PlayStation Network tomorrow for something related to Shin Megami Tensei.
You're probably going to want to fire up your PS3s and keep an eye on the PS Store tomorrow.
...if you're in North America. (Sorry again, EU-bros :( )
And if you're thinking "but wait, I didn't hear anything SMT related on the PlayStation blogcast this weekend," it's because I had to make a quick phone call to keep it secret. :)
The full text of the update can be seen above, or by going here, and it offers no indication of what game is launching tomorrow. However, fans on the reddit thread are guessing/hoping that it will be a re-release of either Shin Megami Tesei: Nocturne or Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga, both titles that released for PlayStation 2.
Our Take
The Digital Devil Saga or Nocturne guesses seem pretty solid. If I had to pick one to revisit, I would go with Nocturne. I played it a little bit when it released and really enjoyed its Pokémon mechanics in Shin Megami Tensei's bizarre world. I would love another opportunity to finish it.
