We don't know many details about Telltale's adaptation of George R.R. Martin's Game of Thrones adaptation, but we do know it will have a tie to the original creator.

Ty Corey Franck, personal assistant to Martin and author has been assigned to assist Telltale with the creation of its Game of Thrones game, according to a recent article covering the developer from the New York Times.

The first episode pf Telltale's Game of Thrones is set for release this year. To see the game's teaser trailer, head here.

Our Take
Martin is obviously a busy man so I could certainly understand him having limited availability to help with the game, but I wonder if his lack of involvement is related to something else. The previous Game of Thrones game, which we reviewed here, had many shortcomings. I wonder if Martin's experience with working on a game has been soured for this reason.
