Mega Man Battle Network 3 Coming To Wii U Virtual Console

by Mike Futter on Apr 28, 2014 at 10:39 AM

Mega Man will be making an appearance on the Wii U (before Super Smash Bros.). Mega Man Battle Network 3 Blue and White editions, which first made their appearance on the Game Boy Advance, will arrive on the Virtual Console in North America.

The titles were listed by the Australian government’s classification board and spotted by Siliconera late last week and confirmed by Capcom to IGN. Mega Man Battle Network is an RPG series with action elements that positions Mega Man as a program that fights in a digital environment.

Nintendo recently started adding Game Boy Advance games to the Wii U virtual console, beginning with a number of first-party titles. Advance Wars, Metroid Fusion, Kirby & The Amazing Mirror, and Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga filled out the early roster.

Our Take
I love the idea of these great GBA games coming to the Wii U, but I would much rather play them on my 3DS. Still, if Konami delivers the slate of GBA Castlevania titles, I'm in. Those games deserve a new lease on life.
