Minecraft is a bona fide phenomenon, and although it may not seem like a big slice of players, those of you looking to continue playing the 360 Edition of the game on an Xbox One will be relieved to hear your save will transfer.
Xbox head Phil Spencer recently tweeted:
An error occurred while retrieving the Tweet. It might have been deleted.
The PlayStation 3 and 4 editions are also planning to allow a transferable save. Whether this will happen for the Vita version is still to be determined.
No release dates have been set for the new-gen or Vita versions of Minecraft.
Our Take:
Backwards compatibility may not exist between the generations, but things like this are better than nothing.
