Our Take
2K is preserving the most popular of its titles. Many people are still playing the original Borderlands games and the Civilization titles that use Gamespy. Every publisher that worked with Gamespy was forced to make hard decisions that balance financial realities with customer service. This is a hard lesson about working with middleware providers for core game functions.
