[Update] Persona 4 Coming To PlayStation 3 April 8 As PS2 Classic

by Kyle Hilliard on Apr 03, 2014 at 12:58 PM

Update: Atlus has confirmed the release of Persona 4 on PSN. The title will be available on PlayStation 3 as a PS2 Classic on April 8 for $9.99.

Original Story:

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4, the PlayStation 2 turned critically applauded Vita game, may be coming to PlayStation 3.

All there is to go on at the moment is a recently established ESRB rating of Persona 4 listing PlayStation 3 as its console. The assumption is this means the game is making its way to the PlayStation 2 classics section of the PlayStation Network, joining a number other Persona titles currently available of the platform.

Our Take
Considering the general difficulty of tracking down physical copies of Atlus games, seeing Persona 4 come to the PSN would be no surprise. The library of Persona games already available digitally on PSN only provides more evidence.
