Adam Sandler, Peter Dinklage of Game of Thrones fame, the producer of King of Kong, and the director of Home Alone are teaming up for a video game movie called Pixels.

The movie will also star Kevin James and Josh Gad and is based loosely on a short film of the same name, which you can see below. In the film, Sandler and his pals are video game experts recruited by the government to help combat similar threats to the ones showcased in the short.

Seth Gordon, director of the documentary King of Kong, is producing the film and it will be directed by Chris Columbus, who wrote films like The Goonies and Gremlins and directed the Home Alone films, as well as the first two Harry Potter films.

Shooting on the film begins this year with an expected 2016 release window.
