Following Leak, Ubisoft Officially Unveils Assassin's Creed Unity Footage

by Kyle Hilliard on Mar 21, 2014 at 05:46 AM

Earlier this week, a number of details leaked online about a new installment of the Assassin's Creed franchise with the subtitle Unity taking place during the French Revolution. Ubisoft has confirmed the game's existence, and released some teaser footage showing the game in motion.

The description for the video appearing on YouTube reads, "We have been working on the new Assassin's Creed for more than three years and although we weren't quite ready to show you our full vision for a next-gen only AC, it seems Abstergo are trying to force our hand! So here's a true first look at in-game footage from Assassin's Creed Unity. Stay tuned - we'll have many more exciting details for you in the months ahead!"

You can check out the short video below, which reveals the location and the look of this entry's assassin protagonist.

Our Take
I'm happy to see Ubisoft embrace the leak that occurred earlier this week. There is no reason to pretend it didn't happen, and this video gives a worthwhile taste of what's coming next for the series.
