A lot of big names, especially recently at GDC, have announced that they’re entering the VR business. There’s the Oculus Rift, Sony’s Project Morpheus, Microsoft’s rumored VR headset, Sulon’s Cortex headset – and even Valve has been working on software for VR development.

These are definitely cool technologies, and we’ve been positive about our time testing them out, but there’s also doubt in the office about whether VR is something that is going to change our habits when it comes to gaming. Devices like the Oculus Rift are nearing commercial availability, and competitors are likely working to prep their own products for retail.

Whether VR headsets are going to be a trend or significant movement in the industry has yet to be seen. Is a VR headset something you’re interested in as a consumer?
