Infamous: Second Son Lead Designer Leaves Sucker Punch

by Matt Helgeson on Mar 18, 2014 at 06:36 AM

Jaime Griesemer, who was the lead designer on Sony's PS4 exclusive Infamous: Second Son, has left developer Sucker Punch Productions.

In a tweet, Griesemer confirmed to a fan that he has left the studio, writing: "...And yes, I have left SP. Not really talking about it yet, tho."

Griesemer had previously worked at Bungie, and played a design role in many of the Halo games, and preliminary work on Destiny prior to moving to Sucker Punch. His departure should will not affect Infamous: Second Son which is completed and has gone gold.

No word yet as to what Griesemer's next move is. Below is an interview we conducted with Griesemer about Second Son.

Our Take:
It's almost customary in the game industry today to see an exodus of talent after a game is completed. However, with his resume Griesemer should have no trouble finding a new project.
