Campo Santo, a studio formed by former project leads on Telltale's The Walking Dead, artist Olly Moss, and Mark of the Ninja's Nels Anderson, have announced their first game. Firewatch is set in a Wyoming forest, where players are on a summer job as a fire lookout.

The only human contact you have in the game is your boss, Delilah, who you speak to through a handheld radio. Campo Santo is reluctant to share too many details, but they are saying that it's a mystery game – in other words, don't expect to stare at binoculars all day long without anything happening. Apparently, the way you choose to interact with the environment and Delilah will have lasting effects on your relationship.

The game is currently in development for PC, Macintosh, and Linux, though Campo Santo is exploring the possibility of bringing it to consoles. They're not talking about release windows, aside from saying "[W]e'd love for it to come out in 2015."

Our Take
There's not much to go on right now, but the premise has my attention. I like games that play up a sense of isolation, and I can't think of many things more isolated than being alone in the middle of the woods. Well, seemingly alone.
