Twisted Metal ignited a flurry of vehicular combat games after its release in the ‘90s. Developer Pseudo Interactive’s cel-shaded, goofy Cel Damage is among the titles, releasing on GameCube, PlayStation 2, and Xbox in the early 2000s. Today, indie developer Finish Line Games announced a remake of the title is coming to PlayStation systems in April.

Cel Damage HD pits up to four players against one another in split-screen demolition derbies. Players can choose between 6 characters and 10 vehicles to play across 13 arena-style levels. Cel Damage HD is a cross-buy game for PS3, PS4, and Vita, so purchasing it one system makes it available for download on the others. More news on the title will be revealed during the Game Developers Conference next month in San Francisco, CA.

Our Take
Game Informer gave the original Cel Damage a 5/10 when it originally released. While the game doesn’t have a stellar reputation, it could be interesting to return to the heyday vehicular combat.
