Yoshi’s New Island Launches March 14 With New Features
Today’s Nintendo Direct brought a host of new features and a release date for Yoshi’s New Island. The title will be released on March 14.
Transformations return, with some new inclusions. Yoshi can transform into a jackhammer and submarine, both navigated with gyro controls. The mega egg dozers come we’ve seen before come in regular and metal forms (the latter from eating a giant metal (shy guy).
Yoshi’s New Island also includes a mechanic for less skilled players. After a while, flutter wings will appear, allowing Yoshi to more easily navigate the platforming elements. He'll be able to fly through the air and run on walls. You can view the new trailer below.
