Kirby: Triple Deluxe Lands A Release Date And StreetPass Functionality
During today's Nintendo Direct video conference, Nintendo announced that Kirby: Triple Deluxe is releasing for 3DS on May 2. In this adventure, Kirby can jump in and out of the background to locate well hidden 8-bit Key Chains as well as Sun Stones. Some of these secrets require the pink puff to use his Hypernova ability, which allows him to eat up huge pieces of the level.
Satoru Iwata, Nintendo's president and CEO, says there is a huge number of collectibles for players to find. Some of them can only be unlocked using the 3DS' StreetPass functionality. Throughout the game, players will run into Waddle Dee. He throws out helpful items, which can be augmented if you StreetPass with other players. If other players have Kirby: Triple Deluxe, you'll also receive unique 8-bit Key Chains.
Kirby Triple Deluxe is already out in Japan, and stateside gamers won't have to wait long to get their hands on it. Check out the game in action below.
