Reader Discussion: Digital Download Or Physical Retail?
As we move into the new generation of video gaming, the choice between downloading a game and braving the real world to purchase a box is more prevalent than ever.
Despite lacking physical components like a disc or a case, downloading a game as opposed to purchasing it from a store (or from an online retailer) is rarely any cheaper. It all comes down to preference. Which is more important to you? Hard drive space? Or shelf space?
I have mostly been moving over to the digital side of things, but after recently tracking down all the green stars in my downloaded copy of Super Mario 3D World, I was a little disappointed I couldn't place the game on a shelf as a trophy of completion. What about you? Are you totally done with boxed games? Or do you still like holding a physical game in your hands before putting it into your game console?
