The wait is over for The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, North American Wii U owners. In its weekly download email, Nintendo has announced that the eShop version of the Super Nintendo entry in the series is out today.

A Link to the Past completes its journey to North America after releasing in Europe in early December. The title was also released on the Wii Virtual Console and Game Boy Advance.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past costs $7.99. If you’d rather just watch us play, you can check out our Super Replay of the title. You can also read our review of the 3DS sequel, A Link Between Worlds.

Our Take
I’m holding out for Nintendo to finally get Gameboy Advance titles working on the 3DS. After playing A Link Between Worlds, the handheld is how I want to play Link to the Past (again).
