New NBA 2K14 Patch Going Through The Approval Process

by Kyle Hilliard on Jan 17, 2014 at 03:49 AM

A new patch for NBA 2K14, which has been experiencing myriad online issues since release, is currently going through the approval process.

Chris Manning, community manager for NBA 2K, tweeted last night about the game's fourth patch. It addresses an issue with the Xbox One version of the game periodically dropping to the main menu along with other issues, has been submitted for approval. The process usually takes 10-14 days, according to Manning.

2K's Ronnie 2K added some more details to the patch notes saying MyGM contract negotiations and playoff advancing fixes are also part of the patch. When the patch receives approval, a full list of fixes will be available.

NBA 2K14 has been receiving regular patches since release in response to many players experiencing issues.

Our Take
Along with Battlefield 4, next-gen games with online focus have been stumbling out of the gate. Hopefully these issues are just the result of growing pains for new hardware.
