PlayStation Plus Members Get Two More Games On January 7

by Mike Futter on Jan 06, 2014 at 10:07 AM

Sony is starting 2014 with a big week for PlayStation Plus Members. When the store updates on January 7, the Instant Game Collection will get it’s first post-launch PlayStation 4 title and one of 2013’s most bombastic action games.

Klei Entertainment’s crafty survival title Don’t Starve arrives on PlayStation 4 tomorrow. PlayStation Plus members will have access the moment the game becomes available for no additional charge.

Additionally, Capcom’s Devil May Cry reboot from 2013 arrives on the scene for PlayStation 3. People didn’t love Dante’s new look when it was revealed, but fans seemed to soften once they had a chance to play.

This week also marks the last chance to add Galaga Legions on PlayStation 3 to your Instant Game Collection. For more on January’s Instant Game Collection titles, check out our past coverage.

Our Take
DmC Devil May Cry was one of the most pleasant surprised for me in 2013. I enjoyed it far more than I expected, and thought the story, combat, and especially the boss battles made it a standout not only in the series, but in the genre.

Don’t Starve is a title I’ve been interested in for quite a while. I had a chance to play a bit at the PlayStation 4 launch event and have been looking forward to its release ever since.
