2K Sports Delivers A Major NBA 2K14 Patch

by Mike Futter on Dec 24, 2013 at 04:26 AM

If you’ve been playing NBA 2K14 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, you’ll likely be happy to know that 2K Sports has rolled out a new patch on both platforms. Chances are, if you’ve been playing this week, you’ve already noticed the changes. If you’ve been holding out and waiting for a fix, now’s the time to give it another go.

The patch was rolled out on December 19, and the notes suggest that a cause of disconnects in head-to-head and team-up play has been fixed. For Xbox One players, a number of party-related updates should smooth out that experience.

The patch notes also detail improvements to MyCareer and MyGM modes. You should not experience any loss of data from updating, meaning that you should be able to continue on without problem.

Our Take
There is a lot of love for NBA 2K14 on the Game Informer team, and I suggest taking a look at executive editor Andrew Reiner’s blog that document’s his player’s career. It’s an amusing read, but also demonstrates some of the depth available in the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions.

We have heard from a number of users that they have experienced problems with NBA 2K14, including the aforementioned disconnects. I’m hopeful that the latest update fixes this problem. Please let us know what you’re experiencing in the comments.
