Electronic Arts Files Desert Strike Trademark
Electronic Arts recently filed a trademark for the the long-dormant isometric helicopter action Strike series of games with Desert Strike.
The trademark was filed just last week on November 25, and could mark unannounced plans from Electronic Arts to revisit the series. The original Desert Strike game released in 1992 on a number of platforms. Desert Strike was the first in a series of five Strike games, each involving the piloting of combat helicopters in assorted action scenarios.

It certainly wouldn't be a surprise to see a return to the Strike series form Electronic Arts. Military-centric action games are incredibly popular. It may not be a first-person shooter, but the Strike series has the potential to appeal to the same gamer. The question is though, is there any nostalgia for the series?
