Epic Games Auctioning Signed Gears Of War Lancer Replicas For Hospitalized Insomniac Games Artist

by Kyle Hilliard on Nov 17, 2013 at 08:06 AM

Earlier this week Ana Kessel, a interning artist with Insomniac Games, was the victim of a hit and run car accident. Gears of War developer Epic Games has stepped up to help.

Currently, there are three signed Gears of War replica lancers up for bid on eBay. All of the proceeds from the sales will go towards Ana Kessel's medical bills. Each of the guns has more than 20 bids with the cheapest currently  going for about $200. You can find eBay auctions for the guns here, here, and here. Both Epic Games and the Insomniac Games branch where Kessel worked are based in North Carolina.

Ana Kessel was hit by an unlicensed driver last week who fled the scene. She was taken to the hospital where her leg had to be amputated. She is currently recovering, running a gofundme campaign to raise money for her medical bills. She has raised nearly $42,000 of her $150,000 goal. You can read more about it here and you can donate by heading here.

We're all rooting for Ana, hoping that she makes a full recovery. We also admire Epic Games for stepping in to help out. Each gun still has about four days to go, so they're on track to raise a good bit of money.
