Wasteland 1 Now Available On GOG And Steam
Wasteland 2 developer inExile Entertainment's deal with Electronic Arts to re-release the original Wasteland has met fruition, and the game is now available.
You can head here for GOG and here for Steam to pick up the game now for $5.99. If you were a backer on Wasteland 2's Kickstarter campaign, you probably received an e-mail with the following text:
Your FREE COPY of Wasteland 1 – The Original Classic awaits you in the Ranger Center. As we continue to work hard on its sequel, we’re very happy to give you the opportunity to play the original. As a Wasteland 2 backer, you are eligible for a Wasteland 1 key regardless of your tier or the timing of your support (early, late, whenever).
Wasteland is 25 years old this year. It originally released on Apple II, Commodore 64, and MS DOS in 1988.
Our Take
I am always excited to see these old PC games resurface on services like Steam and GOG. They're classics, but nearly impossible to play even with the original discs. This gives everyone a simple way to see these games in action.
