Are you a Pokémaniac with a jones for bumpin' the hottest Pokétunes in your (Poké)ride? It's your lucky day.

The higher quality music used in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y has allowed the Pokémon Company to release the games' soundtracks on iTunes. The soundtrack includes over 200 songs and 300 hours of music, and bonus tunes from the upcoming Pokémon Origins animated miniseries as well as five songs from Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue. All that for only $9.99! According to the press release, all the songs feature "enhanced" sound quality compared to the games

This is the first in a new effort to release the Pokémon soundtracks to the public. Six more soundtrack releases are planned throughout 2014, here's the complete list:

  • Pokémon FireRed and Pokémon LeafGreen
  • Pokémon HeartGold and Pokémon SoulSilver
  • Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire
  • Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl
  • Pokémon Black and Pokémon White
  • Pokémon Black 2 and Pokémon White 2

Our Take:
While there are literally few thing on Earth that I have less interest in listening to, I appreciate the loyalty of Pokémon fans and I think it's great that they finally have the chance to buy these soundtracks.
