Dead Or Alive 5 Ultimate Costume Packs Come With Free Tecmo Bowl Throwback
Tecmo is celebrating 500,000 downloads of the free-to-play Dead or Alive 5: Ultimate Core Fighters with new, sports-themed costumes and free copies of Tecmo Bowl Throwback. The costumes are available across platforms, but only PS3 users get the free football.
The new costumes put Bass, Bayman, Leon, Rachel, Tina, and Zack in Tecmo Bowl-themed uniforms. On Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, these costumes will cost $1.99 a la carte.
PlayStation 3 users have some additional options. If you’re playing the free Core Fighters version of the game, you can purchase one of the above-mentioned characters with the Tecmo Bowl costume for $4.99 (a 15 percent discount over purchasing the fighter and outfit separately). The full set of costumes is also available for $16.99. All of these come with a free copy of Tecmo Bowl Throwback.

Our Take
The different permutations of Dead or Alive are confusing, but even if you don't care about the game on PS3, you can spend $1.99 to get yourself a copy of Tecmo Bowl Throwback. As someone who grew up playing Tecmo Bowl on the NES, a free copy of Throwback is enough reason to pay attention to this story.
