Get In On The Lego Minifigures Online Beta

by Matthew Kato on Nov 04, 2013 at 03:23 AM

Developer Funcom is gearing up for the later-2014 release of Lego Minifigures Online with a closed beta.

The closed beta – starting some unspecified time very soon, according to Funcom – will precede the open beta, which members of the closed beta will be eligible for.

To register for the closed beta, head over to the official website.

Lego Minifigures Online is a free-to-play title featuring three worlds (Pirate, Space, and Medieval), your team of three minifigs, and the ability to bring real-life minifigs into the game.

For a more detailed look at the game, including a trailer, take a look at this preview from Gamescom.

Our Take:
Combing the addictive smash-and-grab traditional Lego gameplay with the also-addictive collecting of real-life Minifigs could be a powerful element that brings this F2P MMO over the top.
