Adventure Time Creator Lending His Voice To Double Fine's Broken Age

by Kyle Hilliard on Nov 03, 2013 at 05:29 AM

Double Fine's Kickstarted adventure, Broken Age, is expanding its voice cast with Pendleton Ward, the creator of Adventure Time.

Ward is the creator of and a writer for Adventure Time, but he is no stranger to providing voice over having made frequent appearances on his own show as assorted characters.

Ward's involvement in the game was announced during Double Fine's Day of the Devs festival, where the public got its first hands-on with Broken Age, among other independent games.

Ward joins the cast alongside Jack Black, Jennifer Hale (Mass Effect, Bioshock Infinite, etc.), Richard Horvitz (Raz from Psychonauts), and many others.

This Vine video from Tim Schafer back in July now makes a lot more sense.

Broken Age announced a major delay earlier this year where the game was split into two separate parts. For more on Broken Age, head here to read our hands-on preview.

Our Take
It's exciting to see someone like Pendelton Ward join the cast of Broken Age. In the credits for the game, he may only be listed as providing his voice, but I am sure that he will be able to help inject interesting ideas and his own sense of humor into development just by being around. I can't wait to check out Broken Age. I just wish I didn't have to wait so long.
