NBA 2K14 Simulation Predicts Miami Heat Will Win Three Finals In A Row

by Mike Trinh on Oct 29, 2013 at 12:05 PM

NBA 2K14 has run a simulation of the 2013-14 basketball season and playoffs, a first in series history. The game predicts that the Miami Heat will have the best record in the league at 66-16. The Brooklyn Nets (62-20), Chicago Bulls (59-19), San Antonio Spurs (51-31), and Golden State Warriors (49-33) round out the top five teams. The defending champion Heat once again plays in the finals against the San Antonio Spurs. History repeats itself as LeBron James leads Miami to its third championship in as many years.

NBA 2K14 has already released for PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. It will arrive on PlayStation 4 on November 15 and Xbox One on November 22.  Tip-off begins at 9 pm Central today with Miami playing Chicago.

Our Take:
The Heat wins? What a complete shocker... Simulations are fun to look at and by the end of the season, we'll see how close 2K Sports got with its first predictions for a season. I can only hope that the Spurs, Nets, or Bulls dethrones "King" James this year. If I wish really hard, maybe the Boston Celtics will make it to the playoffs too!
