Rockstar has released the Android version of its Grand Theft Auto V companion app. The iFruit app is downloadable now from the Google Play store.

This allows users to customize vehicles and license plates, “stalk” in-game businesses with LifeInvader, and teach Chop the dog new tricks. The server issues that plagued the app when it launched on iOS seem to be smoothed out now.

The app also gives users access to the Rockstar Social Club. Here, you can check your progress toward 100 percent, connect with friends, and manage your crew.

Our Take
As far as companion apps go, iFruit is a mixed bag. Being able to teach Chop new tricks and buy him different collars is neat, but the minigames to earn those things are slightly maddening. The ability to customize cars though, is a bit more practical. This isn't a must-have for GTA V fans, but at the low price of "free," there's no reason not to download it (especially if you're on the quest for 100 percent completion).
