Nintendo has issued a patch for Pokémon X & Y this morning that is meant to repair a game-breaking bug that appeared when players attempted to save their games in certain areas of Lumiose City.

The patch can be accessed by entering the eShop, where you should receive an alert that an update is available for a game in your library.

According to Nintendo's UK site, the patch fixes the save bug, and also fixes issues that players were having when using the GTS, which allows players to trade Pokémon around the world.

Our Take
It's still feels a little weird to update a Nintendo game on a Nintendo handheld, which is a testament to the polish of Nintendo's games. Some issues will always slip by, however, so it's good that Nintendo was able to address the issue relatively fast.
